There are two organizations that provide certification for CRCs: ACRP and SoCRA.
What is the consensus on this board? Get certified? Not worth it? Think it will help someone with a year or two of RAing or coordinating look better to clinical phd grad programs?

Just interested if anyone has thought about this or seen it around....

To be honest, I've never heard of the credential prior to this post.

Therefore, my inclination is that its probably not worth seeking out, but if you have a reason to get one otherwise than great. I looked it up and it doesn't look like it enables you to do anything beyond what most people do anyways, you just have the piece of paper for it.

I could be wrong though, that's just an initial reaction from someone who had never heard of that title before. Maybe its more common in other parts of the country, but I've never seen one.

Yeah I wasn't sure what its value was, but we just interviewed a candidate for a position that had one listed as her credentials. I thought it strange:confused:
