i'm at the applicationstation, and at the final step (says "proceed to payment"). once i pay, and the background check is complete, will it be sent to my school automatically? or will i be able to see it first and then release it for them to see it??

You'll get the chance to see it first. Congrats on your acceptance!

you have to pay for your own background checks for ugrad??

you'll receive the report a few days later, be able to review it, and dispute any findings before they automatically release it to your school.

And in the "hello, I'm a ***** category," I thought I had to go through the check before I applied. When I submitted my AMCAS, a screen came up telling me that one of the schools I'm applying to uses Certiphi, gave the link to Certiphi, etc. Of course, I just clicked on through, submitted the information/payment for the background check, etc.

Ooops. 🙂
