I have a question...I graduated Pharm school last year, but just became licensed this past august. I know u dont have to take CE's the year u graduate, but do u still have to take them the year you get licensed and graduated in a different year? I didnt think so, but the boards told me otherwise. (massachusetts)? Anyone know?

they dont carry over from year to year.....and that means i have to do 15 hrs within the next month, so i dont wanna do them if i dont have to.

you can save the answers and then turn them in for grading whenever you need them. However, the rule is the same for every state. You get exempted from doing CE a year after your first year of being licensed.

well, i guess if you are licensed in the west coast (CA, OR, WA)then you're off the hook for at least a year. Anyways, I don't see a reason why would any state BOP would make someone do CE for the 1st year after they got their licensed. Having passed the tests, NAPLEX and MJPE is a way of showing the board that they are competent and they should be exempt from doing any additional CE.

Some states will prorate the amount of CE you need based on when your license was isssued.
