So i haven't had the best track record with the gen. eds. mainly C's, a B, and two A+'s currently holding a 2.0 going into my "sophomore" year technically a junior but no with credits but my science gpa is a 3.7. Science is my favorite subject and its where all of my attention is all the time I despise gen ed. courses but I need/would like to boost my cumulative up to somewhere around a 3.3-3.5. My main concerns are does cGPA matter more or vice versa? Also, if my current trend continues and I only raise my cGPA to a 3.0-3.2 but my sGPA stays around 3.7-3.9 would I likely get into a decent medical school?

Both matter but sGPA will def be scrutinized to a larger extent. Do the best you can to get both as high as possible. Your predicted sGPA would be great the cGPA would be low. Try taking some non-science courses are something that can boost up a bit more.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try that.

I would say sGPA is more important but that is a drastic difference. If you end up say at a 3.0, it shows that you may not be very well rounded. That is a very impressive science GPA though.
HOWEVER GPA is only one part of the record. There is also Mcat, EC's, Letters of Rec, Personal Statement, etc.

Going off of this subject, when we calculate LizzyM scores can we use sGPA instead if it's higher? Like not dramatically, but enough to make me feel better about my lizzym.

I know lizzym doesn't necessarily mean anything. I just like to use it sometimes.

Haha I've been thinking the same thing for a while. Higher sGPA than cGPA high five

My guess is probably not since that's not its intended use and not all schools advertise their average sGPA, but I feel like id rather have my sGPA be higher than switch them and have my cGPA be higher.

sGPA matters a ton more. If cGPA mattered more I would have a few interviews by now. If you can nail the MCAT then you should get in somewhere.
