like the title says, I wanted to know if Chad's quizzes on Physics and General Chemistry are indicative of mastering the material to do decent on the MCAT? I have been getting 90-100% correct on almost all of them but I dont want to have a false sense of security. Anyone that previously took the MCAT found his quizzes helpful? Thanks in advance.

Absolutely not

They are way too easy to be predictive of MCAT style questions. What they do is make sure you understood Chad and that will help you recall his lessons when studying for the MCAT.

To put it into comparison, last year I watched all of Chads videos twice and did the practice questions. I did well on them. I then completed AAMC 3 (the easiest one) and scored a 20 (7/6/7). Soooooooooo id say no it doesn't lol

What you should be doing is using either BR or TPR for your sciences. What I found works really well is to watch the topic on Chad, then read the chapter, then rewatch chad.

so drop Chad and focus on the TPR then, would you say TPR has a better/closer correlation to MCAT testing. I find The Berkeley Review too difficult to be of any use.

also did the TPR help more on the Physical Section or Biological Section?

No don't drop chad. Use chad as a first step of your content review. Like I said, watch chad, then read the chapter in TPR or Br, then watch chad again.

pretty much done with Chads so I might just finish up and go to something else. I have taken the AAMC tests and they looked pretty simple (except #7, #8, #10). I took the actual MCAT a while ago and the PS section looked nothing like the AAMC tests and Chads quizzes. frustrating for me because I heard the PS section is the most doable of the three section if you know the concepts

thanks for the help everyone much appreciated. additional advice welcome, the more the merrier.

How did you score on the AAMC tests?

How did you score on the AAMC tests?

I have scores from 19-26 on the tests (I am applying to podiatry school and the adcoms said these scores are competitive enough based on my other stats). My #8, #9 and #10 were 19, 22, 21 respectively. It would be a miracle if I got a 20+ on my past MCAT test. Its just frustrating seeing everyone getting 30+ on their FLs and I can barely get a 20. I got the hang of verbal even if some of passages are just beyond comprehension but the BS section on my past MCAT really shook my confidence there was no way I could have prepared for that with the TPR biology book

btw the TPR subjects you are mentioning is it the one with biology and ochem together and physics and general chemistry in another separate book. I am borrowing those from my friend along with TPRH science.

What are you scoring on verbal?

I took the MCAT back in March and I took all AAMC FL tests with scores ranging from 19-26 but I am pretty sure my actual score will be lower. What I am doing wrong? is it too nervous or I really dont understand the material. I am taking the MCAT again really soon but I dont feel the slightest ready despite prepping hard. I felt the MCAT I took was much more difficult than the AAMC FL's I practiced with, something wrong with my test taking skills?

If you aren't scoring 10 in the sciences you have definite holes in your content knowledge. If you are serious, you need to set a study schedule. There are many on this site so find them. A good one is sn2ed study schedule. It all boils down to how hard you wanna work. I'm convinced anyone can score 10s in the sciences. You just need to learn the material.

I have been studying for the past three months, bio I am pretty confident but maybe I am not studying hard enough, I tried SN2ed and adjusted it a little bit but I still think I fell short of my hopeful scores.

for those that are using the TPRH science workbook how long did it take to complete the entire book? thinking of doing that for the next week but worried I might crash and burn.

I am going through all the discrete questions right now. There are around 800 of them. It took me 3 days.

the discretes on the actual are not too bad, TPRH is probably a tid bit tougher on some of those, wish that made up half the exam lol

the passages I am having trouble even if the questions dont fully require the passages

I'm doing the discretes to drill in concepts. If you do all the discretes, you will find your weaknesses.

Like it has already been said, watch chad, study that chapter from BR or PR, then watch chad again and do passages and discretes on that particular chapter.
