Working on McGovern's first prompt : "A challenging situation or obstacle you have faced in the past". Was thinking possibly:

• Feeling isolated sophomore year of college due to stress, where I became a recluse in my dorm room and skipping meals.
• experiencing racism as an asian in a middle school with a small asian population on top of it and how it shaped me interacting with others and making friends with others.
• During college where I was an upperclassman advisor for freshmen. After two years, the underclassmen that I advised also became an advisor and we were placed on the same team. She experienced a bad breakup recently and was really affecting her at the time. It was challenging due to the fact that I could not relate to her experience/emotion but supporting her and understaing what she was going through.

1. I feel like for the first prompt, it was challenging due to my mental state being overwhelmed and feeling like I had to simple accept the fact. I learned to depend on those around me and being more open about my emotions

2. I am hesitant about this since this is in middle school and not very present but would be a reflection on how facing racism helped shape how I form relationships with others who value who I was as a person

3. This was impactful for me since it pushed me to be there for a friend who was emotionally suffering and as introvert, learning how I could support her as a friend/team member. Though also hesitant because I only supported her/I wasn't the one suffering?

I also worked in a lab at McGovern for about half year full time and was thinking of using it to discuss the failures prompt. Within the lab (I managed to cut my hand working the cyrosetion/managing work load). I feel I can also use the prompt possibly here but concerned since I talked about it briefly in my activity section
