Hello people,
I have a quick question: for challenging situation essay topic...would it be better to mention about a car accident that gave me a near-death experience and a chance to re-evaluate my hosptial volunteering experience OR about dealing with a sibling who has been depressed for a long period of time and how I discovered myself through the experience?

I basically wrote two essays, and am thinking of using one of the topics for the dartmouth secondary ("something about yourself"). I don't know which one to use...Which topic would let me tell the admission committee "I am such such person, now pick me!!!"?

Thanks 🙂

Well, that depends entirely on how the two essays are written. 🙂 In a lot of these situations, it's less the event itself that matters and more how you describe your reaction and what you learned.. Decide what exactly it is you want to convey (compassion, introspection, etc), and then you'll probably find which of the two events is easier for you to use as the vehicle.
