What year in dental school are you?
I don’t intend to make you more stressed, only give you an honest take from my experience interviewing over the last 4 years…a 75 is certainly a good score, but would not be considered extraordinarily high. I’m not inferring that you should attempt for an even higher score, but you should look at it as having a poor gpa and a good but not “high” CBSE score. This means everything else on your application should be in great shape. Great letters of rec from OMFS, appropriate numbers of externships, etc. You cannot afford to slack off in any of the other important areas. If you have time to improve your gpa, work hard to do so. If that’s not feasible given your year in school, certainly don’t do any more damage to your gpa, and have a good explanation for your gpa and class rank should you end up being asked about it on an interview. This would be an appropriate interview question, and a good introspective mature answer could save you. But you need to give some thought to this. One, you need to personally identify why you struggled and how to improve in the future just for personal growth, but also you need to practice articulating these thoughts into a well thought out answer. And just a word of caution, unless you have a very legitimate excuse for your performance (for example a significant health set back) then do not try and blame anyone/anything/any scenario for your grades. Accept full responsibility, how you identified ways to improve, and how you have implemented those improvements, and you may even impress them in the interview and turn it is to a sort of positive.
