My first choice school is Columbia and I was wondering if my scores can give me a strong chance to get accepted. I read the forum and some parts said you needed 22+ on all sections to at least have a Strong shot at getting in. I also was not sure how heavily Columbia looks at the PAT.My GPA is currently around 3.9 for both science and cumulative. I have a lot of friends in the NYC area and was hoping to attend CDM. Also I hope to specialize in the future. Thanks for all your help!

Your scores are fine. Worry about the interview.

With a 3.9 gpa and 23 AA you have a chance at any school, even harvard or ucla.

You'll probably get in if you apply early. I wouldn't tell them you are Pre-Medical though, that may confuse them.

is your TS 23 too? you sound pretty set buddy
apply early and pray for a columbia interview!

No, TS is graded a bit weird. My TS was 22. I'm just trying to get a gauge of what they are looking for. Looking at predents, I saw some students with 25's get waitlisted so I guess it's unpredictable.

I got in with similar stats. Columbia is big on DAT scores, and less so on GPA. Just do well on your interview, or don't bomb at least, and I think you should be good.

exactly. you're in very good shape as long as you don't come off as socially awkward.

are you seriously asking this question? what is wrong with you
you defly have NO chance. hands down.

that was sarcasm by molar3. OP has a very good app on paper and thus obviously has a good chance at columbia (or any school) as long as he can deliver on the intangibles.

seriously, though, the fact that some pre-dents can't pick up on that kind of stuff is exactly what leads us to give advice with the "unless you're socially awkward" clause
