Columbia CDM LOR Requirement

Hi everyone,

I noticed that Columbia requires 3 science prof LORs, whereas the vast majority of of schools require only 2. I unfortunately don't have 3 because it wasnt needed for most schools, but I'd still be interested in applying to Columbia. My question is: Would I be throwing away my app fee by applying to Colombia? Would they outright throw out my app over not meeting this req? This question also applies to a number of other schools for me where they require a dentist LOR, but I don't have one.

You’re applying to dental school and you don’t have an LOR from a dentist? I’d imagine this puts you at a disadvantage.

Some of the people that applied didn’t send in the 3rd rec letter and still got an interview. You likely need 27+ AA though

95th percentile DAT is 27 AA 26 PAT 28 TS
so you don't "need" 27+ AA
sure helps though...

speaking from experience - most Columbia early interviews (pre-Dec) are mainly to applicants with a 27+ AA (based on last cycle)
