Hey guys! I've already posted a similar thread before, but I never really was able to get feedback on my chances at DO. I know that admissions to Osteopathic schools, and MD schools as well, consists of way more than just grades and test scores. I did, however, want to ask for honest opinions on what you guys think, at least on the basis of my stats. I have a 3.7 Cumulative GPA and a 3.72 Science GPA. What really concerns me is my MCAT. Even though the overall score was good at 508, the breakdown was very unbalanced (130/124/125/129). I am concerned about schools which screen for subsections below 125, although I need to do some more research into how many schools have this policy. Hopefully you guys can let me know what you think, and, if it helps,I can post some of my EC's later!

Is it just me, or does everyone on this forsaken site think everyone else is a troll for whatever reason? Seems like an exercise in trolling in and of itself. Anyways, I think your scores look just fine for DO schools. I had a fairly unbalanced MCAT not unlike yours with a slightly lower cumulative score along with very similar GPA’s, and received 4 II’s and 2 acceptances. I didn’t apply to MD schools, but perhaps if your state school isn’t too ultra competitive then you stand a decent chance of landing an interview. Just make sure the EC’s, essays, PS, and other non-numeric and intangible parts of your application are solid.

Thanks for the response and the info!

You're good fam, very few, if any DO schools would screen that 124. Everything else is great for DO, you should apply MD as well
