I just graduated from a state university and have a GPA of 3.1 both overall and science. I have been premed all undergrad but have been recently looking at my options in dentistry. What are my chances of getting accepted to a mid-low tier dental school with a 3.1 and a 22 on DATS and a previous issue of academic dishonesty (plagiarism) if I apply in late June - early July?

First of all, this belongs in the pre-dental section. You'll probably receive more replies there.

Good DAT score, subpar GPA but that academic dishonesty concerns me. I don't think you're going to receive a unified answer here on SDN. Most will probably say that you'll have a hard time getting in (I do as well). You might find few stories who got in with similar situations of yours.

You should talk to a counselor from your career center. They may be able to help you more. Good luck.

Not very likely...unless you have superior DAT score plus some connection help and minority status.

You always have a chance....but your record is poor... you may need some post graduate work.

The dishonesty part is big.... you need things to offset that...
Volunteer work?
Experience shadowing dentists?
Work experience?
Recommendations?

Check with your school advisor....
You may need other plans for a few years....
