I have a BS in dental hygiene and have been practicing for 2.5 years.
Overall GPA is 3.08
non sci GPA 3.59
science GPA 2.97
176 total credit hours
i took the DAT and got a 17 overall score
havent taken the MCAT yet-- was going to see if i could get into NYCPM in January since they accept DAT- so I was wondering what my chances are for this??

If not, if I take the MCAT end of November or beginning of December is this too late for other schools admission for August 2013 if I do well?

I took premed along with my dental hygiene degree-- i have all the prereqs but they were separate.

I think you should call the school. Your grades may be acceptable to them but you should call them directly to find out. 🙂 and also ask about the DAT. I think Temple U also accepts the DAT.

I have talked to them and they say that they are in average range and that they would accept my DAT. but it is hard to tell if it is really competitive or not. They told me that they are waiting for all my official scores from AACPMAS and my letters and they should let me know something within the next couple of weeks.
