What are the chances to get in if you have an alternate interview? Do the schools send out alternate interviews at the same time that they are sending the "real" ones? Or, afterwards,they kinda feel that they need more people?!

depends on the school.

public school = little chance.
prestigious private school/moderately priced private school = slightly better than public school.
expensive private school = OK chance.

why'd you spend all that money to have an alt interview? The school didn't even extend you the courtesy to review all applications before they decided who to take. They are completely ambivalent to the fact that some of these students come from more unfortunate financial backgrounds and that their endeavors rest on something life-changing like this interview. These schools could conduct their admissions with more tact and throughness.

mmmm, that's a toughie. i would say that your chances there are on the lower end of the spectrum (lots of ppl want UOP).....but if it is your Top choice then GO FOR IT! maybe schedule the interview and if you get into another school you like beforehand then cancel the UOP interview.

Depends on which dental school you're talking about.

I know for Marquette, they've already given out their interview slots to thier applicants already. So the remaining students will be waitlisted, if they qualify to be wait-listed, and then called for an alternate spot interview next year.
