I have an interview invite for UCSF in early November. UCSF has been my number 1 school for a long time and am just curious to what the liklihood of acceptance is if i am interviewing in november. I know no one can say for sure, but is there a percentage anyone can say?

Check out Doc Toothaches thread http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=563195.
the data is from 2007, but I think it gives a good general outlook on interview and acceptance stats.

For UCSF:
If you are in state:
152 interviews
102 acceptances sent
~67%

For out of state:
72 interviews
45 acceptances
~62.5%

That seems a little too high...so it's like 147 acceptance for 88 seats? It's kinda hard to imagine people turning down a school like UCSF.

looking at other schools admissions stats (assuming that doc toothache's data is correct), it seems that a turnover rate of 67% isn't that far fetched.

Whenever there is doubt on the stats presented it is not a bad idea to look them up yourself.

Thank you guys, i'm just keeping my fingers crossed on this one 🙂
