Your stats are very similar to mine.... I think my prerequisite gpa was slightly higher, and you have a few more volunteer hours then me, but all in all pretty similar. Anyway, I would also suggest you apply Chatham and Salus unless you already decided they weren't for you. Those two schools both require interviews which can really help your application even more. Chatham has an early app option and salus has rolling admission so if you look into those two school and really like them apply early!!! If you like temple and Pitt you need really good GRE score. I applied to them too my first time around with (horrible) GRE scores and was out right rejected (teardrop, lol) ... Aim for at least 50% on quant and verbal. Also, if you have good recommendation letters you will probably make it to at least the second part of Towson's application. Your stats are great... Good luck. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I applied to Temple University and Thomas Jefferson. I was interviewed at both, accepted to Temple and wait listed at Jefferson. So here is my insight for those schools…

Are you done all your prerequisites? Temple didn't look at my application until I was done mine. Luckily, I finished them in the fall semester so I heard by mid February of my acceptance. However, I was OTCAS verified mid September, so it was a long wait. If thats the case for you, just be patient!

For Jefferson, it seems like they weigh pretty heavy on life experiences, which can definitely be a good thing for some people. I applied going into my senior year so I only had the typical college activities (I had no major work experience). I would say that my GPA and test scores were my strong point. I think that if I had had some work experience I could have stood out more.

Another thing, you may want to consider taking the MAT. I didn't even bother taking the GRE. I believe Pitt is the only school you are applying to that doesn't accept it. Just something to think about. I'm pretty sure I paid only about $75 and it was only 60 minutes. To prepare, I think I took a couple practice tests to understand the format of the test. Otherwise, I just went and took it. I scored pretty well and didn't need to re-take them or study again. I know a lot of people take the GRE twice and it can get time consuming and expensive. Just something to think about!

I have all my prerequisites except for one, which i will be taking in the fall.
What were your stats??

This is what my stats were when I applied. At the end of the year some things changed (GPA, deans list, an award) and I would make sure to email all the schools an update. You will have a chance for an academic update on OTCAS, but I also made sure to personally email all the programs. Like I said, my academics were my strong suit but it would've suited me well to balance that with some more volunteer hours or relevant part time jobs.

GPA: 3.84
Pre-Req GPA: 3.9-4.0 depending on the school's prerequisites
MAT: 417/ 78th percentile
Volunteer/Extracurricular: 2 notable leadership positions (service chair), honors program, Dean's list for 5 semesters, tutor for kids k-8, study abroad, research assistant, TA for A&P I

I'm not sure if I can comment on chances of getting in somewhere. I couldn't pinpoint one single thing that guarantees a person a spot. Each school has their own unique criteria. I would say that you definitely have a strong application. Good luck!
