Due to some personal issues I dealt with during the first three years of my undergraduate years, my GPA isn't where it could be, and it's nowhere near competitive for dental school. That being said, I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of whether its realistic to consider myself a viable candidate after a two-year SMP program. My stats are as follows:
cGPA and sGPA: 2.8/4.0
Tons of leadership experience/ECs
500 hours of shadow experience
MCAT: 28R (I had originally planned on medical school but decided on dental school during senior year, still have to take the DAT)
Basically, I have to get some more shadow experience and take the DAT, however, assuming I do that (and get a competitive score) would a successful SMP career make me a viable candidate? The SMP I'm looking at is a two-year Master of Biomedical Sciences program.
