So, I’ve spent some time calculating my various GPA’s, bottom line; just seeing what my chances are for an interview/acceptance into a DO or MD program based on ONLY my GPA’s.

Brief background: molecular biology major, sophomore in my program (transfer student, have rough non-science grades from previous community college on transcript), the ones I did well were transferred/subbed in for my current major. I have about ~50 credits to go till I graduate, all biology except 6 creds of physics.

Current Cumulative: 3.33 (upward trending)

Current BCPM: 3.56 (upward)

Major cumulative: 3.62

Some other things that might take consideration: Straight A student in gen/orgo chemistry and most of my biology courses. Like I mentioned, I have still 6 physics credits and the remainder are biology courses- which I’m feeling pretty confident about.

At the rate I'm going my projected science should land between a 3.65-3.85, but because of the bad cumulative credits I'm carrying around since my early college days, my cumulative won't increase above a 3.55 I imagine. Will this hurt my chances?

Just wondering, if this is a “competitive” GPA spread. Chances of getting an interview/accepted? Please spare any deconstructive negative comments. Thanks everyone!

Numbers are competitive; rising GPA trends are always good.
