I have a 4.0 GPA and 506 mcat (I know it’s low but i do not want to retake). I am a NY resident. I have not heard back from any of my MD schools, but been accepted to a few DO schools (which I am happy about).
-volunteered/work at an opthamoloy office all of college
-worked at a peds office for 1.5 year
-worked at a primary care/infectious disease office for 6 months
-tutor for my school for 2.5 years
-research all 4 years of college and impressive results - got an award and thesis
-got an excellence in chemistry award
I applied to:
-downstate suny
-upstate suny
-greenville SC
- jacob’s buffalo
- albany medical
did not apply to many out of state bc i know my stats are low.
