Hi guys! I'm an Oklahoma resident, and I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as I am, or knows any more about OU Med School (OUHSC) than I do. I interviewed there on Nov. 19th, 2010 and they said that a decision should be made by the first week of december, so we should know if we were accepted, rejected, or waitlisted by then. I've just been getting anxious since then--does anyone know the stats of actually getting in to the school after the interview? It wasn't an early october interview, but it was still considered the first round since it was in November, and not in Jan. or Feb. I think the interview process went okay...I got a little lost at first, so I was about an hour late, and the admissions people kindly worked it out for me and gave me directions...would that hurt my chances? lol

Is it the "Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences"?

IS 2008: 251 applied, 166 interviewed, 91 were accepted, 73 enrolled

Going late to an interview does look really bad. Regardless, you have excellent chances.

I'm sure you'll get accepted. Wait a few more days.

Better yet, why don't you just give them a friendly call?

An hour late?

Definitely send a follow up letter.

If you interviewed in November then you should have a good chance of getting in. They're trying to fill the class with October and November interviewees.

I wouldn't worry about being a little late; they basically covered admissions info and did introductions for the first hour (or more). If the interview went well, I'm confident you'll get in. The interview is very important at OU.

Anyway, just try to stay patient. I didn't hear back from OU for close to a month even though they said it would only be 10 days.

I haven't looked in my MSAR for awhile, but I'm pretty sure they only list interviews and matriculants, not acceptances. Maybe I'm wrong.

The MSAR book would be somewhat useful to assess overall chances with # of interviews vs. # of acceptances. But the date of interview is apparently a bit more important at OU than at other institutions. The applications are ranked before interview dates are set so the OP's chances (with a 2nd round interview) are likely better than what the MSAR data would indicate.

So is there any resource that gives the trifecta of admissions stats for schools: applicants:acceptances offered:matriculates

If you google a school's name along with something like admission statistics you will usually get a link to a page like eduers.com or another site that has them.
