No locational preference at all, just wants to do gas

- Non URM, moved to US at 16
- US MD Midwest
- Step 1 223, Step 2 235
- preclinical 2nd quartile
- clinical grades all pass, HP anesthesia sub I
- not many extracurriculars- anesthesia interest group
- lots of community service
- no research experience in med school except current work on case report. some Publications in undergrad
- no red flags

Anesthesia still not THAT competitive. For a US MD with prior pubs I'd put chances high (>90%) as long as includes an appropriate range of programs
