Hello All,

I've applied to 11 DO schools, have been rejected to two (DMU-COM and CCOM) and have yet to receive an interview invite. Based on my stats, do you think I will receive an interview invite?

cPGA: 3.83
sGPA: 3.85
MCAT: 22O (PS 8, BS 7, VR 7)

5 yrs work experience in hospital involving direct patient care
200+ hrs hospital clinical volunteer experience (including DO shadow)
Research award

P.S. you definitely should retake the MCAT if you want to be more competitive.

I second this advice.

Your MCAT needs work. Otherwise you are looking good.

No one can tell you with those stats. It's a very low MCAT score, but certainly not unheard of. Multiple factors are going to determine your fate of this cycle.
Don't count on your self being an exception. To be safe start preparing for another MCAT retake, so you will be competitive for next cycle.

Hey, I have heard some magic with a girl getting on the guarantee waitlist that grants auto acceptance the following cycle and she had a 21MCAT. It's not unheard of, but it really is almost magic.

You have a very good GPA and a low MCAT score. If you can get your MCAT to a 30+, I recommend that you start looking at MD schools as well.

A 22 MCAT, seriously? Just retake the darn thing. You can't possibly do worse.

Sorry that post sounded way too aggressive.

Basically, your stats are otherwise very good but even a 4.0 cannot buffer a 22 so I would advise retaking the MCAT.
