I am a White male from California. I was a Mathematics major; graduated May 2017 with minors in Biology and Chemistry. 3.60 cGPA, 3.62 sGPA, 519 MCAT (130/130/130/129). U-shaped trend: 3.80/3.47/3.47/3.80. Switched major from Biology to Mathematics senior year. Had some college courses in high school that brought me down a little; my undergrad GPA was a 3.65 (cGPA and sGPA)
ECs: 1,000 hours of research with 3 poster presentations.
350 hours volunteering at local ambulance corps.
100 hours volunteering at emergency department in local hospital.
50 hours mentoring science-fair students.
100 hours tutoring organic chemistry.
100 hours working as MCAT tutor.
40 hours shadowing ER doctor and orthopedic doctor.
1,000 hours as competitive road cyclist.
Does my fairly low nonclinical volunteering hurt me?
I plan to apply June 2018; what are my chances and what schools might I be competitive at?
