Hi Everyone,

I am a post-bacc currently taking a gap year in order to strengthen my credentials and gain more research experience. My goal is to apply to a Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. However, I feel that my GRE scores are pretty low for acceptance (especially my verbal score).
Here is everything that I have so far:

V: 148
Q: 152
AW: 4.5

Psychology Subject Test: N/A (but thinking about taking it)

Undergrad Cumulative GPA: 3.67
Undergrad Psychology GPA: 3.81
Magna Cum Laude
Dean's List for last 4 semesters of undergrad

Research Experience: 2 years in a research lab that examined how the effects of biological responses relate to certain interpersonal stressors.

I have also applied to another research lab (hopefully I get in)

Clinical/Volunteer Experience:
~1.5 years working as a crisis hotline counselor
~2 years volunteer at a Boys and Girls Club (have implemented a mindfulness intervention here and helped administered surveys and questionnaires; PANAS-C)

Some schools I've been looking into:
UNC Greensboro
East Carolina University
George Washington University
University of Central Florida
Virginia Commonwealth University
American University
URI

I know my GRE scores are pretty low..But I feel like everything else is pretty decent. Should I retake the test? Are the schools I'm looking into too competitive?

Anything helps, thank you!

If you have the funds take it again. The advice I received from other members is that it would be safer to have a 320+ combined score (mine is 316). I received interviews this cycle but I wished I hadn't chanced it.
