Hey, I just wanted to know if med schools work the same way colleges do when considering a sibling of someone who already graduated from the school. My sister graduated from nycom and I have an interview coming up with them. Anyone know how much better my chances are if any?

Marginally better... does it really matter? You have the interview. It's up to you now.

My sister attended Pitt and I didn't even get an interview there two years ago. Bums! Then again, my MCAT was crapola. So...probably not a good example there!

There's atleast 1 person I know in my class who has a brother that's a few years ahead of us at NYCOM. There are also two brothers in our class and atleast 47 people with the last name Kahn, but I don't think they're related!

PCOM tends to be a family affair but that doesn't mean much. Same family, same genes, same environment, generally same education (i know there are tons of exceptions). though most likely it helps.

Very true. Good number of legacy kids in my class, cousins, and some twins.
