I am from a top-10 medical school, that has no grades the first two years (and no AOA). I received Honors in surgery, medicine and radiology, and High Pass in everything else. I've read my evaluations and am certain that I'll have an excellent Dean's Letter. I will be doing research over the coming year.
My big problem right now is that my Step 1 scores were only 220.
So, here are my questions:
Do my scores mean that I won't be able to match into a top-tier radiology program?
If not, what can I do over the coming year to make myself competitive?
In specific, is there any value to taking my Step 2 early, or is it not considered, anyway.
