Hey all,
I'll be applying in June and I'm currently an Economics major. I have approximately a 3.6 GPA at the moment and around 3.4 sGPA (had a horrible freshman year but skyrocketed the following year). As mentioned in the parentheses, I did really bad (below B) my freshman year in college BIOLOGY. 🙁 So, you could imagine how much I've improved my sGPA considering what I first received. So... I've gotten all As and A- in every other science (more than just the prereqs).
I have a 23 AA (with 22 BIO), 25 TS and 22 PAT (however, 17 RC [which worries me a lot]).
I was hoping that the 22 in bio signals some message to the adcoms and kind of "makes up" for my mistakes during freshman year. I understand some schools have certain cutoffs (17) so that kind of worries me that I'm at the brink of it all.
Additionally, I have a LOAD of extracurriculars and leadership positions at school whilst taking max credits offered. On top of that, I've done community service, shadowing, research, etc.
I don't want to go on too much about my stats. But, from a different perspective, I was wondering if I could get any inputs about my candidacy for dental school!
thanks!
