Hi, I’d love to get some help on my current situation. On my primary application I listed my MA job with future hours through July 2019 . Since then, I got a new MA job where I am also the lead MA. Should I update schools that my work location and supervisor changed? I’m concerned that if I don’t, they will call my initial employer who will tell them I left and that’ll leave me short on hours when in reality I’m doing the same job with greater responsibility elsewhere. I have a great relationship with her, and left in good status and everything, so I’m sure she would politely say I’m at another clinic now. I know this is probably small beans, and obviously, looking back I wish I didn’t list future hours. Any advice?

It's perfectly reasonable to include this information as part of your next update, but ideally wait until you're past the probation period for the new job.

Ah, this is a good idea. So maybe include it on my next update in April or so, and not the one I’m sending this week.

And, lastly, what about new volunteering? Is it normal to include a contact person or is general information (hours, duties) sufficient? Thanks!

1) Yes.

2) It isn't usual to include Contact info for a new volunteer activity not included on the Primary application. Also, if the volunteer activity has just started, it won't impact your application. How many hours have you acquired so far?

Only about 20 hours so far so maybe it’s not even worth it to include at this time. I have other good updates besides the job and volunteering, so I can just update on those for now and then add the volunteer/job to my next update when I have a few months under my belt?

I think that 20 hours is OK to include (for volunteering), especially as you have more substantive items to mention.
