So I finally met the class that I really struggle in, Physics. I just took the first exam and have never felt so defeated by an exam. My major requires 2 semesters of physics and im currently a junior with meh GPA/sGPA (both ~3.4, more B's than A's but nothing terrible). I'm wondering if I would be better of sticking out this year in physics praying for 2 more B's (not great for the trend) or change to a similar major (Biochem->Bio) that allows an easier physics sequence but probably have to take at least an extra semester. All advice is appreciated.

P.S. Physics is a combo of a terrible prof who doesn't prep us very well for exams, and sheer inability to finish a problem. I get the concepts ok enough but applying them correctly through the end of a problem is the tough part (and this is in the "intuitive" kinematics section). Even seeking help in many TA office hours didnt yield progress.

What would the difference in your physics courses be? Are you currently doing calculus based and would move to algebra based? Most schools require 2 semesters of physics and you’ll need it for the MCAT.

I took a calculus based physics class for both I and II and it was hell. The problems we would have to solve were way more difficult than the algebra based class. Also the mcat does not require you to solve calculus based physics questions so you would be better of taking the easier version

technically its calc vs. algebra but so far we have doine very little calc and mainly i hear that the difference is basically just the level of question your expected to solve and the people around you arent as good of students so curves are nicer.
