I've already submitted all applications through AADSAS and am wating for mail-out. However, I decided to change my major from Biochem to Bio. Do I have to correct it through AADSAS or just leave it as it is?
I was wondering if I could even make a correction of it.

Do you think it's a big deal?

I am also wondering if I would change my mind to take future classes..If they are different from what I submitted, what happen?

a lot of the schools (case western, temple) say that your acceptance is contingent upon completing the degree you said you would complete on aadsas...but its not really brought to some ppl's attentions until they get their acceptance letter. for some (getting to be very few) public schools, they just strongly encourage a degree, but i think they really want you to try to get it...so i would be very careful about that. a lot of schools require you to get your bachelor's degree first nowadays. i think this is a trend that a majority of schools are moving to.

just play it safe and try to get your degree. it would be awful 🙁 to get accepted somewhere but then get your acceptance rescinded or have to wait a year because you didn't get your degree.

You should definitely get a degree, but I think the fact that you're changing your major from one Bio degree to another Bio degree doesn't have a very large impact. As far as changing classes, in November you can do Academic Update and make some minor changes to your classes, etc. Also, while the schools do say your acceptance is contingent on your completing the classes you put on your application, unless it's a pre-req or a recommended class, they just want to see that you're taking a full schedule. I was worried about this because I couldn't fit a class into my schedule because it was full, my school just said not to worry about it, they just added that because years ago they had people completly flaking out on their senior year.

Well i will complete my accounting degree next may but I have an opportunity to get a chem major/minor. With academic update, thats only once right?? So if i have already sent in my AADSAS app but I have decided to add another summer class and change around my classes to accommodate the Chem major I cant do anything until December when i receive my grades and thus can change my classes around?? I guess i dont really understand the academic update!? Thanks

I had a friend in college begin with chemical engineering. Then he changed to chemistry and math (double). A little while, he quitted his math degree. After second year, he changed his degree to bio. And he finally got his degree in bio. You guys are changing ur degree only once. I think that it should not be a problem.

The Academic Update is only really for inputting your spring, summer, and fall grades if you didn't get them already, and I'm pretty sure that I remember that you can changed around you in progress classes a little. If memory serves me correct, they do this in the second week of November.

As far as changing classes around during the summer for example, like I said before, as long as it isn't a pre-req, or some huge recommended class, it really doesn't matter what you change, as long as you're still taking a full load during normal semesters, and maybe summer classes if you said you were going to do summer classes. Don't stress.

AGGHHH! I just realized that i forgot to put in 1 course as planned course for next semester that was going to be transfered back in to my school....dang it. Its only spanish 2, but it would have given me 16 total hours for the semester and now it will only show that i have 13 for the fall?? will that be ok or, god bless it, that i get an interview i just bring it up then?
