Changing major from BS to BA

I'm a Psyc BS major about to graduate this semester but struggling with my last prereq for the major (an intermediate level comp sci class). I will probably never ever need skills from that class and don't feel like spending hours to somehow scrap a B in the class which will in the end lower my GPA so I just want to P/F this course at this moment.Is it a big deal if I've a Psyc (BA) instead of Pysc (BS)?

The distinction between a BS or a BA carries absolutely zero weight in admissions decisions. Different schools will confer either a BS or BA depending on how they were originally accredited and it's pretty much completely arbitrary. My science degree majors were given BA's while the business majors were given BS's.

At my school physics, molec bio, and chem majors all get BA degrees. Conversely, business majors and anthropology kids were getting BS degrees.

Take away message: it doesn't matter and lots of schools do things differently.
