Has anyone done this before? Would anyone do this? I'm just throwing this out for anyone that's interviewed before Dec. 1 and has not gotten an acceptance yet to a school they would like to attend, but has gotten into another school.

That mid January deadline is creeping up slowly for that first deposit, I just want to know if you guys are gonna give that school the deposit or hold out and are confident you'll eventually get an acceptance.

I sent in my deposit to Stony, but since that's refundable I'm not sure if it counts.

Im definitly going to pay the deposit. You can never be sure you are going to be accepted to the school u want to go to. Its better to be safe than sorry. I want to get into my state school, but have not even gotten an interview. If I find that I am accepted, than I will jus take the hit and lose a grand. I think people do do this all the time. WHen I talked to the secretaries at Case, they said it happens every year. I hope you get accepted to your #1 school. Best of luck and Go Doilers!

I was accepted to BU last year with a 3k deposit, but convinced them to accept 2k instead. Then I got into Nova, and liked that better than BU. I almost paid the deposit, but got accepted to UNLV (no deposit) in late January. Then in late May I got into USC and accepted there (another 3k)... :scared:
