I got an interview offer on Friday, for a specific date in late Dec. I accepted it within the hour, and the program verified it the same day... Now unfortunately I think I may need to change it from it's original date in late Dec, to a date sometime in January.

Will it look bad to the program that I am attempting to change the date we already agreed upon, even though the date I'm changing is a month away? They gave the offer Friday afternoon, and I will be calling them Monday morning.

How do I go about talking to them about it? Any advice would be appreciated!

i did this for one of my interviews, and no one seemed to mind. these people realize the logistical nightmare we're dealing with. i would just call the program coordinator monday morning, explain the situation, and try to find a date that works for both you and the program in january. no worries, mate.

It happens all the time. There's generally no problem unless they're full up for the new date. In that case, you may have to go on a waiting list, but I wouldn't worry about the mere fact of asking to switch.

As above, just call the program coordinator ASAP and see what can be done.
