is it cheating on q bank if you retake exams of incorrect items and get a score like 70 when you were getting 60 earlier ? isnt the point of it to see what you got wrong..learn from the mistakes and correct them so you dont do it on the real tesT ? or is like cheating..cause it's not a representation of the "first" time you saw the question and your test taking abilitiy blah blah.. ?

I'm going to report you to the USMLE people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I think it means you're learning the material.

No offense intended, but if you are retaking the same questions and not getting 90+% correct the second time through, then you didnt use your time very wisely the first time through and you didnt learn the material. After you have done QBank once you should be able to go through it and do it again around 90%, or you didnt pay attention the first time through, and then what was the point of getting QBank?

Yes, in an ideal world. 🙄

I think we would all like to remember everything we read over one time when checking answers and forever retain that knowledge. In theory, we *should* be able to do that. In practice, we're busy students who -- at least in my school -- are still learning gallons of NEW information a day. It's a lot to handle.

I dont think its really a choice, I think you have to be retaining this QBank material or its a waste of time. Just my personal preference.

i agree with your comments about should be getting 90% the second time around. in a perfect world that is definately the way it should happen.. but for some reason... in practice it is not so straightforward. at least for me it's not working out to be so straightforawrd. i dont mean taking an exam and then right after going through the wrong answers. it more like once or twice a week i go through wrong answers that have piled up. it's possible to up your score significantly but to "get them all" is really tough.

aaahhh..the confidence level of a student is such a delicate hand to deal with.

I would recommend doing a block of 50 and then immediately reviewing. I know its hard and time consuming and so much easier to do more questions, but in the end you will be grateful. Everything will be fine.
