I just read on NYTimes that Ted Kennedy was caught cheating on a Spanish exam at Harvard, went to the Army and re-enrolled and graduated from Harvard, he also got his law degree from University of Virginia.
I bet med school would've let him in too.

This is just awesome. If you are a Kennedy you can cheat and go to law school, maybe kind of kill someone too.

🙄:smack:

Hannity looked like such an idiot in that video clip.

I don't understand why people need to start sucking up to the people who die. Just because they died doesn't make them a better person. Hitler has died, do we decide not to teach about his actions and doings just to "respect" the dead? King Xerxes I has died too--did we decide not to ridicule his actions just because he has died? If, God forbid, but Bill Clinton passes away, will we overlook his adultery and decide not to teach kids about that 50 years from now in history class? I can go on with tons of examples.

There's a difference b/w personnel attacks on someone and making a comment on someone regarding his job or whatever affected other people. Although he was a great man, you can't overlook the fact that he killed someone, or was ignorant just because he died. After all, to call "killing someone" an "accident" or a "mistake", you're not doing the person who was killed by his action any justice by passing her off as a minuscule incident that's not worthy of attention or something that shouldn't be considered when taking into account TK's character.

Considering there was no dirt on Kennedy less than 48 hours ago on this forum, it seems like people ONLY dig real dirt when a person is dead...

That video cracks me up. Fox News is such a complete joke. I don't know how anyone can watch that utter disgrace of "reporting."

speaking of kennedys.... robert f jr. was arrested for posession of HERIONE at an airport. got arrested again and was sentenced to community service at the hudson river foundation where he began his work as an environmental activist. oh by the way, he's been a driving force for the past near decade of the crusade against vaccines.
those kennedys, man. truly the american family.

Had she been in need of rescuing?

But yes, it's unfortunate that Bobby Jr. has become an antivac quack. That he even has a public voice at all is a testament to the power of legacy.

and the unfortunate side effect of not sleeping + running a synthesis + plus that spell check devil is brought to light.

its also a testament to my lack of focus that it took me a solid three minutes to understand what you were talking about

Now go change your diaper.

If it was any other subject I might have cared, but it wasn't, it was spanish.

Eh, that's life. Name me one person who hasn't done wrong in his lifetime and I will call you a liar.

I bet Pope John Paul even had some tarnishes on his record.

I think the fact that Ted Kennedy received so many "second chances" in reference to his cheating at Harvard and the hit-and-run was not so much due his family's wealth, but was mainly simply a result of the times (no internet back then for information to spread like wildfire).

How are you ever going to verify this? It happened years ago; concerned a man who is now deceased and was handled by the university involved based on their judgment at the time? Total waste of time and energy to speculate on something that is done and has no value or impact on you, me or any other person right now. Total waste of time.

I love how I recited a fact (which i assume new york times verified before publication) and everyone decided that I was a cry baby because I felt it wasn't fair?
In fact, I'm quiet glad he turned out be a productive political leader. second chances work and it gives the imperfect me some hope. The reason i mentioned this in the first place is that, people are venomous if some poor soul mentions they got into trouble for cheating on a thread, as we all know, those who cheat, only deserve to work in McDonald's, right? right? right!
Opps, I know i know, I'm the only imperfect one, everyone on this forum is never without fault, of course.
America is the land of second chances, that's why I love it.

shrug-
I haven't lived in America my whole life and I haven't heard of these things before. I guess the illusion of American ideals are still alive in me, because i'm an immigrant. oh stupid immigrants who buy in to the American idea, sigh...which causes me to be slightly surprised by these facts rather than being totally apathetic.
it's time to be more apathetic!
