Can you take Chem 1 at one school then take Chem 2 at a differnet school? Does this look bad when applying to med or pt schools?

Same goes for other subjects like physics, anatomy, bio, etc,.

As long as the schools are accredited, it shouldn't matter.

I did that...chem I at one community college, chem II at another. Same thing with physics.

Mainly I did it because I moved from my campus apartment to back home, and then I got a job and had to take one class at a third place to work around my work schedule, since it was the only school that had a late-night course.

It won't look bad per se, but it makes it harder on yourself. My physics book was different between the two courses, and the requirements for the class/instruction was light years apart in quality/intensity. It was like taking algebra I and then going to advanced calculus. Other students had taken physics I with the same instructor as physics II, so they were familiar with the course requirements, the instructor, how the tests were, etc. I was not, and since he referred to stuff from the first course on occasion, it was hard to be thrown into that. Plus physics II was just hard in general haha.

Why do you want to take classes at different places? Are you working and need to take classes on certain days/times and it isn't offered where you took other classes?

I contacted a few schools about that same question. As long as the school where you are taking Chem 2 confirms that your Chem 1 is equivalent to theirs then you should be fine.

I took physics 1 at my university and in order to take physics 2 at a community college the CC needed to look over the syllabus to make sure the same topics were covered in physics 1 at both the university and the CC.

Good Luck! 🙂
