Hey guys, I have a question about CHOC/living in orange county. Is it just a giant suburb of LA? Are there a lot of young people? I am hoping to go to an urban place, which I know it is not - but is there still lots to do with diverse people? I'm from long island, and am hoping to find some place less suburban. Thanks!

i haven't been on this site in years it seems and by chance i go on today for an uknown reason and i see this post....haha. i'm a current resident at CHOC and i went to school at Irvine, so ive been here for a while

CHOC is in the city of Orange...which is in Orange County...which is separate from Los Angeles and Los Angeles County. Its not a suburb of LA.

Orange/Irvine is pretty boring with not much to do. There are a lot of young people in are though sense that there are lots of colleges, but otherwise its very family oriented.

That being said, there are a lot of cool places to live in Orange County that aren't Orange/Anaheim....Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Long Beach, Seal Beach...I personally live in Long Beach, which is pretty diverse with a good amount of young people (there is a college there) and a lot of great food and cool thing sto do. the population is pretty diverse as well.
