If you could be any infectious disease what would you be and why?

Influenza. Bad and Nationwide.

Sickle Cell - Protective against malaria

Bird Fancier's - Protective against lung CA

Epstein Barr, Infectious Mononucleosis.... because as an ID, I'd get to date a lot of young, hot girls and they could never get rid of me...

I thought of an STD but I don't think that would be quite as fun and I'm too nice of a guy to punish people like that... 😛

Avian Influenza if I was feeling particularly pissed off...

Cordilla Virus, for sure

Rhinovirus. Albeit annoying, it's ubiquitous, supremely infectious, ever mutating, and a brief but significant reminder that certain things cannot be contained, nor cured... merely tolerated.

...not that I'm tolerable all the time. 🙂 Annoying, well, that's another debate.

Norwalk Virus spending all winter long cruising around the Caribbean.:barf:

American Trypanosomiasis aka Chargas. Spread by a bug "kissing" the victim often at night (I'm not a morning person), then once the love making ends it does its "business" 😱 and takes off. Then I take over, get inside, and catch a ride in the bloodstream. Treatments are highly toxic and not effective and can be fatal in chronic patients. Living in the nice climates of North and South America isn't half bad either.

Chagas' Disease, not Chargas. Carlos Chagas and Hans Selye are two people that made discoveries while med students. Chagas was so humble as to write that, after examining cardiac tissue with the T. cruzi protozoans, "everyone looked, but I was the only one who saw".

My choice: Ebola

1st line tx: fuel-air bomb over surrounding township

Source: Outbreak starring Dustin Hoffman, Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, Cuba Gooding Jr, Donald Sutherland, Patrick Dempsey, wow I did not realize that movie had so many big names

Hep C - I could change a person's color! ...and people will feel threatened by me.

But I'm not, and that's why I chose Chlamydia. I'd be like Wilt Chamberlin and never be eradicated because so many people are having unprotected sex and think it's no big deal when they get the clap. Just come to see me and get a gram of azithromycin.

I already picked the flu, but it was a tossup...

for those of you who also loved the dave chappelle show, remember:

"well hey dontcha hurt me...it's little ol me herpes...better than your best friend...I'll be with you till the end"

see you in hell m'fer!
