Just got an interview at University of Cincinnati on 12/11. Anyone gonna be there? Anyone already been and have any thoughts?

hey, monkeyrunner, I had one on the 11th but I changed it to the 18th since the 11th is in the middle of my finals week. I am really looking forward to it though.

AURGH!! I am still getting my missing letter of rec straightened out. 🙁 I sure hope they get it figured out soon. 😕 I'm guessing at this rate I'll not get a chance at an interview till sometime next year. Oh well, c'est la vie...

would all of you post the dates for when your file was complete (when it showed up on the status check) and when you got the invite (e-mail or snail mail)? thanks a bunch. it seems that my file has been complete forever and still nothing yet. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I really can't give you either of those. I wasn't aware that Cincinnati had a status check, though I saw something about that they used to but took it down this year. I imagine my file was complete sometime around 11/1 though.

As for when I got the interview invite, I got one from Ohio State last week, so I called the other Ohio schools that I applied to and asked if I could interview while I was in Ohio. Cincinnati called back this morning and set me up for 12/11, the day after my Ohio State interview. Should be interesting.

I have an interview scheduled at UC for 1-08. I did not have my file complete at the time they granted the interview because two of my references had not sent in letters. I believe that someone on this forum spoke with a UC official and they said that they grant interviews based on MCAT/GPA which can be good or bad 😕 Good luck to everyone and keep checking the status check as that is how I found out about my interview. 🙂 To those with upcoming interviews, please post how they go and any interesting questions, etc.

Hey, monkeyrunner, is your 12/11 interview scheduled for 9 a.m.? If so they gave you the interview slot I had before changing to 12/18....damn, I hope that wasn't a lucky interview time or something.

Yes, they do. They send you info about it once you've been granted an interview.

What should we expect at the interview other than it being relaxed? Do you have any tips regarding questions,etc. that would be helpful? I am extra excited about interviewing at UC!

UC is known for asking ethical questions. They give you a scenario and ask what you'd do in the situation. It's not hard... just know where you stand on issues like abortion and euthanasia. Also, be sure you're familiar with our healthcare system and current healthcare issues in the US. I wouldn't be suprized if they asked something about human cloning, since that's been in the news a lot lately. Be ready to explain any bad grades you have on your transcript. Be sure to check out
<a href="http://www.interviewfeedback.com" target="_blank">interview feedback</a> if you haven't already... it really prepares you for what to expect.
