So I hear that whenever you take your test it will be 3 Wednesdays from then that you will get your score? Does that mean if I take it on a Monday or Tuesday that I will get my score back in 2 weeks and 2 days? What day is the cut off to be included in that weeks "Wednesday" to get your score 3 Weds later? Another person I talked to said that only counts if you get your score in by Friday?

Since the Match opens 2 weeks later this year (Sept 15 instead of Sept1) does that give us a little more time CK study?

There's no precise timing. It's always on a Wednesday, but if you take your test on a Wednesday, there's no way to know whether you'll get your score after 21 days or 28 days... it varies depending on a variety of factors. But it's fairly unusual to get your score in less than 21 days.

Also, due to one of NBME's infamous score reporting delays, anybody who takes the test in August will be getting their score on September 26.

As I understand it, it's more likely to be 4 Wednesdays for Step 2 than not.

I dont know the details of the match works just yet... but people say that its starting 2 weeks later this year than last year? Its opening on Sept 15. Does that effect the Step 2 timeline in anyway? Will programs begin to review applications 2 weeks later this year?

This year has two differences: The applications open two weeks later, and the dean's letter comes out one month earlier. So the two dates used to be a full two months apart (sept 1 and nov 1) but are now two weeks apart (sept 15 and oct 1). What does this mean for people reviewing applications? No one knows, it's the first year they've done it.
