Claiming credit for research

So far I've claimed 9 hrs for research. So 3hrs/semester for three semesters. What would the schools think about it?
I spent 15-20hrs/week in lab because I was considering grad school until recently. No pub, but I do have my own project. Would the schools consider those hours to be just like any other class credit?

If you've done research, you'd probably know how time consuming it is. I think if I spent that much time into studying I would've gotten an A...

Yes it was calculated into my science gpa.

Research classes are graded? I thought they were P/F just like my awesome TA classes..
