Hey,
This thread has kind of been about medications and psychotherapy... do you guys want to clarify the differences between counseling and clinical psychology, to keep with the title of the thread? I'd like to know the differences...

Clinical and Counseling programs tend to teach from slightly different perspectives. Counseling programs tend to look at things more from a societal/environmental/etc view, while clinical programs tend to look more at pathology. Much of it is nuanced, but there are differences....so they have different programs to cater to each perspective.
People from both types of programs have access to the same licensure, it just depends what areas you want to work on, particularly in regard to research, and how you want to view them.
