Howdy everyone,
I did a search, and perhaps I just didn't have the patience to read something like 30 pages of results, so I figured I'd post this question:

I took Calculus in 1994 during my sophomore year. I then took it last spring (2005). Since the second "go-round" was done during strictly post-bac work, does it still count as a repeat? I would assume it does.

Additionally, how does one discern a repeat for other classes such as:
Biological Principles vs General Biology.

Both are base level bio classes, but have different names, slightly different foci, and completely different course numbers (101 vs 1000).

I guess I'm posing this question to those non-trads who have already applied, been verfied etc...in order understand how to compare post-bac and undergrad work. Thanks for any help. Cheers.

Are you applying to DO schools? That's the only time when it will really matter. For MD schools, the repeats are just averaged in with the rest of your classes. Some (or all) DO schools may replace the old grade with the new, or so I've heard.

I am definitely going to apply to DO schools. My undergrad GPA was pretty poor, so I plan on applying broadly. I finished entering my coursework from my postbac now that grades are in and I have my t-script. I did mark those courses that were identical in name (Calc I at both institutions) but did not mark my physics as I took a Calc based physics this time vs. general physics in 1995. My AACOMAS applications will note repeats as well. I think this is satisfactory, no? Thanks.
