For those not aware, osteopathic docs are required to maintain membership in the AOA (like the AMA but also accredits all the residencies and has some oversight to the specialty boards) in order to continue their osteopathic board certification. Wondering what others' thoughts are about this anti-trust suit in NJ. Personally I think it's unnecessary to tie what I perceive to be more of a political membership (AOA) to professional board certification.
