How often do you wear your class B uniform? I know the Air Force and the Navy wear their similar uniform at OCS and ODS, but heard the Army don't wear this at BOLC. Is this true? If so, why is that?

I don't know about BOLC, but once on active duty you will wear it several times a year. Usually for more formal type meetings/CE courses.

I was in one job where we wore it every Friday - but that's the exception not the rule.

How did you learn how to properly wear your Class B uniform? Were you ever inspected while wearing one?

At BOLC you'll graduate in your ACU's, which you are taught how to wear properly. IDK why the dress isn't more formal for BOLC but I think it's just not necessary since graduating from BOLC is not really a special accomplishment IMHO. My guess is that when the time comes to go on AD, there will be many people you can ask for advice on wearing the class B's.

AR 670-1 shows how all the stuff goes on the uniform.

There is also a little book that I highly recommend buying in the military clothing store...called "Look sharp!" it is a small book and comes with a little ruler that is very very handy.

When you wear your class B dress shirt with the collar open, do you have to wear a T-shirt inside that show above the collar? Is it only a requirement for men to wear a T-shirt? Anyone thinks that looks tacky? Is it because of chest hair?

Yes...with the open collar men must wear a white T-shirt underneath. I have never been told why.
