Its my last year (woohoo) and I'm on the comittee thats charged with picking out a class gift. I've never had to do this before, and I wonder if some of you can give me some suggestions of recent class gifts at your schools?

we got a stone mortar with the school name and class and a pestle with our name, Pharm.D. on it

That is pretty sweet. I'm referring to a gift that we as a graduating class give to the school. I think our budget is $500-$1000

That was basically my reponse when asked for class gift donations. If I hadn't liked and respected our class president, I would have told that person where to go. I also would not recommend trying to solicit money right at the end of the year as I have probably never been poorer as I was right then. Loans spent, moving costs, damage deposits on new apartments. Yeah, not a good time.

I think we should get a much older tree to confuse people who see it next to previous years' saplings. Maybe start a rumor that we watered it with some drug.

YTF you guys have to give gifts for the school? Don't you hate them when they have been taking your money in these years , even when u were on rotation getting no pay and still gotta pay them....lol...In fact , school needs to give everyone of u an ipad as gifts 'cuz u help them surviving in this shietty economy, not the other way around. Don't be the nice guys here.

I would never give a gift to any school. That's rediculous. Unless the school is like my mom and gives me money to get her a present and I buy something cheap so I can pocket the rest. The good old days...

just what UB needs...another damn bench between hochchschstetter and nsc/talbert/whatever the hell that building is.

come to think of it, UB has an inordinate amount of benches on north campus. I think you guys should just donate a tim horton's right in NSC. would've saved my ass the walk to the student union.

You could always plant a tree with a plaque next to it with the above pledge.

UB needs a Dunkin. I don't get the Western New York obsession with Tim Horton's...

I really want to pay for naming rights on a toilet and/or urinal in the new building, but I don't think there's enough money left in the class account to cover that cost.
