I don't know about you guys/girls but this Pre-Dental thread is getting more and more filled with the next wave of applicants questions (should I apply here? and so forth) and it kinda makes me sad. Don't get me wrong though, I'm way excited about this Fall but this specific forum has buoyed me up quite a bit over the last 7/8 months. Oh well, waxing a little philosophical I guess.

This happens every year around here. The same types of threads come up annually depending on the time of year and at what part of the application cycle is taking place at that moment.

Hey, it works for me at the moment. I am on the waitlist for 2 schools for Class of 2012. Today, I'm humbly scraping my self-esteem off the pavement and working on my new application for the next cycle....Class of 2013.

I'll just be glad when August rolls around and I'm either sitting in a dental class or have enough of my confidence and energy to go through this application process again next year.

I know you didn't take this thread personally but I still feel a little guilty. Sorry you haven't got in (I was waitlisted at 3 schools myself!) yet but I'm glad you're back on the saddle for 2013. You rock and best of luck this fall or the next.

Hey, don't feel guilty. I have a job, so if I wait it out another year, it will just be one more year as an engineer and one less year as a dentist.

It's great to hear the updates of what's happening at the schools where I'm waitlisted (USC and Creighton), so I'm not completely in the dark. It's interesting to read everyone's stories and get all the support. If I apply next year, I will know so much more than I did this year and that's because of all you guys.
