Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
that's actually a tradition at the Ivy League schools. Here at Penn, in the fall semester, some kids dress up in very posh preppy attire (i.e. nothing cheaper than Lacoste) sip tea (probably spiked with hard liquor ), and play...what is the name of that sport...not polo...but the sport with the big hitting sticks with flat circular heads and big heavy balls?

Yeah, they would wouldn't they? Ivy league kids....bah!

Moooooornin'!

I'm bored again. Hope I don't get stuck doing file review again today...boo

Same here. I have a meeting at 10 and then the vast open sea that is a blank calendar after that. At least I get to go home tonight. My band has a show and then I'll be at my cabin for the rest of the weekend.

EDIT: My TOP summer location...

Though to be honest, we're a bit Pop... Basically we just want to get people to dance.

👍👍👍👍 I like it; though I don't think I'm quite that vain...close but not quite.

😀

Other HIMYM links my bf emailed me (spoilers for Seasons 1 and 2, minor spoilers for Season 3):

Mostly, I am amused that the Bro Code book exists.

Man did I just get hosed with my financial aid packet from Maryland...

I only got 20,500 in Stafford loans instead of 40,500 😡

WTF?

Don't worry... 99% of people did... but hey, at least you are IS and you do not have to pay 44K tuition...🙂

whoa...nice digs.

I'm jealous for sure

Haha, no. I suspect the issue may be that I had to include my mother's income info when I was accepted to NYMC but Maryland doesn't require it...so now I'm really confused. And Maryland said not to update that information even though at the interview they told me not to.

So now I'm taking a nice little stroll over to the FA office. Good thing I work here already...heads are gonna rolllll

Good luck sarah! You gots to get paid! :meanie:

Whew, just had another 1 1/2 hour meeting with my PI. Every time we finish one of these meetings, it seems like there's more and more stuff I need to do before I leave 😳

Apparently the "default" for Stafford loans is $20,500 and they have to go back and amend it to $40,500 before its complete. They ignore sections with parent information in it, but the downside is that institutional grants are already doled out so unless they get more money for them I'm covering that extra $4k for this year :thumbodown

Heart attack averted (for the moment)

Myocardial infarction is such a funny term...

How so? The infarction part?

Yesssssss. But I'm sure stranger medical terminology is yet to come. Infarction just sticks out to me like a sore thumb for some odd reason. Like spork.

I think my favorite part is that the author of the "Bro Code" book is listed as Barney Stinson. Fictional characters writing books ftw!

Morning, everyone.🙂

And how is this fine day treating us?😉

I am is a great mood today, despite being incredibly bored. I think after lunch I will disappear for a while and read my book.

Glad to hear the heart attack was avoided; I did have the paddles ready just in case. Thumbs down to the 4K; you should open lemonade stands during the summer... wait I just remembered that we weren't 8 yrs. old.

Side note, I think the spork was a fantastic invention 👍

Cul-de-sac is a medical term? I always thought it meant alleyway or a dead end or something.

Cul-de-sac of Douglas, or rectouterine pouch, a part of the female pelvic anatomy
