Morning everyone, now that I'm caught up.

My advice to all of these X vs Y school questions is go to the school where you think you'd be happiest for 4 years. Money is a big factor, but you're going to be in debt regardless, so you might as well enjoy the time you spend wherever you go. If you think you need to leave home, then I would do it. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Yup, the weekend of July 17th. So far, Raaska, Swarley, Chubbs, myself, and riceman have committed to going (with a random assortment of personal friends joining the trip as well) 🙂

NYC get-together FTW! I dunno when would be good for everyone though. First week of August?

I saw the Hangover last weekend... super funny. I don't want to post any spoilers, but there were a few scene that produced some deep hearty laughter. Highly recommend it.

Me and the BF tried to catch an AM matinee but they changed the time from 11:35 to 12:35 😡 So we'll try to see it this weekend. No spoilers, please!! Everyone is talking about how hilarious it is.

Bummer. The wait will be worth it though.
 
im in the biochem lab and our cells may have died or something... we're gonna run a gel in about half an hour to see if the restriction enzyme did its job properly...
you know, i was never exposed to much biochem as a chem major (mostly by choice) but i kind of enjoy the work.. if i knew this earlier maybe i would have really done md/phd..
speaking of which im reading this book called singular intimacies about a doctor doing her medical school and residency at bellevue at nyu and she did an md/phd... excellent book so far

Several people have told me it is one of the funniest movies they've seen in a long time (even better than superbad, knocked up...). My gf really wants to watch it so I will be checking this movie out sometime soon.

I have no one to go see the Hangover with... Maybe I'll go down to NYC and see it with my brother if he hasn't seen it yet. We had a great time watching Pineapple Express (the beer might have helped).

I have a conundrum tonight.

Little Couple is on from 9-930, while a new Deliver Me is on from 9-10. I usually TIVO Little Couple, but if I Tivo backwards both will be finished by about 1015 (when all the commercials are knocked out).
 
I'm currently in the process of unemploying myself. right now I think I'll be completly done working on July 5th.

It's honestly slightly depressing me.

Any weekend before the 17th of July (though the June 26th to 28th is iffy because I need to be at work on the 27th, but I live so close I can go back and forth if I must). 😎 I'm hoping the 17th will be my last day at work, and I'm thinking I might just leave my apartment as soon as I can right after then. I'll try to be moved out before then and just live out of a suitcase or something. Might head straight to Seattle. Might head to DC. Not sure yet. But don't want to be here by myself anymore.

The week between 7/5 and 7/12 would work for me.
 
So thanks SDN 🙂 A girl from TCOM got accepted elsewhere but had already moved in to an apartment in Ft. Worth....so I PMed her and I think I now have an apartment without having to do an annoying search and she saves $1500. 😀

Sorry I have been MIA... I am sick🙁👎 I hate being sick during breaks.... oh well, at least this was not during finals week...

If I haven't caught anything from my patients now, I'm pretty sure I'll be fine during clinical years (knock on wood). I almost never get sick -- which sucked in high school but has since served me well.

Get well Funky .... I am sick too- my body finally gave up trying to make up for my lack of sleep and now my throat is sore. 🙁

Sort of .... I practically lived at a hospital and I was fine, but months later is when I started getting sick a lot. I got strep 3 times in 8 weeks. All the focus and adrenaline kept my immune system on check but when that stopped I definitely felt it :laugh:

So what's the update on Austin? And how are people getting around down there? If I come I would prob rent a car...since I am all elderly and crap :laugh:

Yeah, it feels like an irrational fear even though there are tons of bacteria and viruses floating around. Hopefully, some patient doesn't cough directly into my mouth or anything 😛
