my best friend from HS refuses to have a fb. He used to have one, then deleted it. He just thinks its a waste of time and thinks that if his friends really want to contact him they can call him or something. He's also not a big fan of text messaging.
 
I don't have a bf, so you can look all you want.... hahaha.

I haven't investigated enough to figure out everyone, but I've got a few facebook friends that are sdn'ers.

I gave you my undergrad college name, funky, that's how you found me 😉 I haven't posted it anywhere else on this site, although I suppose it wouldn't be impossible to figure out.

facebook is wonderful for keeping in touch with old friends now that we've not only graduated from high school. but college too.

My high school class was pretty huge. There wouldn't have been a 5 yr reunion without facebook correspondence.... and I'm sure our 10 year (eek!) is in the early planning stages. I'll have my 10 yr the year I finish med school.

Im definitely excited about House. I dont watch the others (greys, seriously?) except for private practice but i doubt ill ever watch it if I am not at home, bored watching recorded Tivo shows.

What about The Unit? Thats an awesome show and is on tonight at 10!
 
The other day I went on ORlive to poke around, and i started watching an inguinal hernia repair.... The doc kept trying to describe what he was doing and what he was looking for... "If you look inferiorly you can see The Triangle of Pain...now i really want to avoid this because.....and here is the Triangle of Doom....and this is important because..." And I was just thinking to myself "dude all i see is a bunch of goo, i have no idea what I'm looking at" :laugh: I gave up and started watching always sunny in philadelphia.
 
I gotta finish packing. Boo for classes tomorrow... at least my first class is at 2😀
 
well guys i am back.. i ahve been in the hospital since friday night.
i went out with my bf for some ice cream and all of a sudden im feeling terrible.. after a while i cannot even walk and my heart is racing and it keeps getting worse and worse. thankfully we were on the train that time so we just got off at my school's stop and i went to the security guard. he drove us to the ambulance which(thankfully) was only a few blocks away and i used to volunteer there! lol turned out i had tachycardia (heart rate ~160) and hypokalemia.... they gave me three shots of something in the ER.. i thought they said atropine but that cant be correct so i probably misheard in my utter freaking out... i don't think i can thank my boyfriend enough. he never left and even spent most of the afternoon and evening with my on saturday AND even left his laptop in the hospital for me so i can watch wonder years and play spore ( he originally brought it to my room so we can watch wonder years togteher) I finally checked out today after everything came back to normal.. thank god because i am leaving for the dominican republic tomorrow.

the really old lady which whom i shared a room had a hernia and a distended stomach and hasnt pooped for about a week!😱

I'm glad classes start Tuesday for me. I'm gonna have 6 hours of classes on Mondays -- in two 3-hour blocks (talk about a nightmare). Everyone keeps asking me why I don't just drop the master's program now that I'm accepted to med school...haha, I keep attempting to explain that dropping it's not an option (and also, I've put in too much time to want to drop it at this stage).
 
wow ar that sucks! I'm glad its over and that you are okay, and i'm glad your bf kept you company..... see i knew not all boys were a-holes, i try to tell people that but girls usually dont believe me. There are a few good fish in the sea (me included, of course).

Oh no I'm so sorry! I had a 24-hour stomach flu while I was on vacation....started at 2 am on the 31st and ended at 2 am on the 1st. So while everyone was out celebrating I was in my hotel room throwing up and sweating through my fever. Tachycardia sucks though, and I'm glad your boyfriend was there!!! Was it a panic attack?

I was up in San Francisco for my gfs 21st birthday this summer, and i dunno what the hell happened but on the drive up from santa cruz to san fran, i got ridicuusly sick and started throwin up prettmy much uncontrollably. We tried, to go out later that night after resting, but after like 5 min of walking i couldnt take it anymore, so we spent her 21st bday night (it was actually like the night after, but was still supposed to be celebrating) in a hotel suite 🙁.

Oh no!! I'm sure you made up for it afterwards though.... Ugh...stomach flu is the worst. The worst part for me was calling room service to get more bottles of water brought to my room at 1 am and the room service guy thought I was just some drunk kid cause of all the vomiting and was really rude. Oh yeah, and the fact that I spent the first 2 hours of the new year with my head in the toilet...🙁. Meanwhile, my whole family was outside dancing and watching the fireworks. Blah.
 
Is there seriously anything more boring that folding clothes? I do not understand how people could work in clothing shops... you could not pay me enough to do so...

I had the stomach flu on New Years eve too. Luckily, I wasn't on vacation so I spent the whole day and night camped out on my couch with a bowl. The sad part is my best friend is away at med school and he came out to spend new years with me 🙁 I sent him to go hang out with our other friends so I wouldn't ruin his new years too.
I'm pretty sure I know where I got it. It's going around, but I was working on Monday and my partner and I, plus another ambulance crew, and a fire crew went to lunch together - out of the 6 of us 5 got sick. My partner was lucky and I guess someone different made her sandwich. I think it's a plot to take out EMS workers...😛

pianola, it was a photo you took and posted yourself, remember... just google "Vadd0" and turn it to images. I think you're in the second row to be exact.
 
I am sorry to hear that everyone has become so sick! I am glad to hear everyone is getting better though.

As for the females I know in 2013, only pianola wins my heart. I am sure LET OMBD and ar2388 would, but I do not know them enough to say 😉

Jurassic Park is pretty cool, and Jurassic Park was my favorite movie in second grade.

thank you.. and no not a panic attack.. but i went from 85 deg bedroom to 25 deg outside and was just.. freaking out about something or other. my heart started beating really quickly, releasing epinephrine which apparently lowers potassium, but my potassium was already really low so it just made it worse.
